Downtown Highland Park
Dan had the pleasure to meet and talk to voters in Highland Park Wednesday evening. Residents stopped to chat with Dan and wish him luck in the upcoming election. The highlight of the evening had to be the motorists who were waiting in their vehicles at the train crossing and waved over some of Dan’s supporters to sign his petition papers while they waited in their cars. Talk about curb-side service!
Another Saturday is upon us!
It’s 10/10, and we need at least 10 volunteers at each location to help us take back the 10th District. This effort is helping voters get engaged in the election and spreading the word about Dan. If you cannot make it but want to help, we can arrange to drop off supplies at your home. Send us an e-mail at info@dansealsforcongress.com or give us a call at 847-945-8900 if you need additional information

Packed House for Kick Off & 10 from the 10th Event
Dan Seals addressed a packed house Thursday night at his Congressional Campaign Kick Off Event. The Highland Park Recreation center hosted the overflow crowd who cheered Seals’ decision to run in the 2010 race. The crowd was treated to a video, available soon on his website, of his personal story with touching interviews from family members describing Seals as determined, knowledgeable and sensitive to the concerns of his constituents. Great Lakes Annual Clean Up
“You make a living by what you get. You make a life by what you give.” –Winston Churchill
I believe that service to our community is not just something to talk about–it is something we should do. So I have made service an integral part of our campaign. For example, a team of volunteers and I recently volunteered for the Maot Chitim of Greater Chicago. This is a year-round volunteer effort to collect food and deliver packages to the needy during Passover and Rosh Hashanah. We helped pack over 900 boxes of food for the start of Rosh Hashanah. It was a lot of work, a lot of fun, and tremendously rewarding.
I’m writing you now in hopes that you will want to join us for our next effort: cleaning up our beaches.
In August I wrote you about the pollution on some of our beaches, and invited you to join me in doing something about it. Well, we are joining the Alliance for the Great Lakes’ Adopt-a-Beach program in an effort to clean up the waterfront of Lake Michigan. Environment protection requires action now. Help preserve the beauty we are so lucky to have in our own back yard. We get so many great benefits from Lake Michigan, ranging from drinking water to days at the beach to a diverse plant and animal life. How about giving something back? Let’s preserve the health of our lake for future generations.
Please come help the Great Beach Clean Up on one of these dates:
Sept. 12th at Park Ave Beach in Highland Park at 31 Park Ave from 9:00-noon.
Sept. 19th at Tower Beach in Winnetka at Tower and Sheridan from 9:00-noon.
Your attendance will make a difference!
Best,
Dan
