DEMOCRATIC CONGRESSIONALCAMPAIGN COMMITTEE BEGINS FINANCIAL SOLICITATION ON BEHALF OF DAN SEALS

November 1, 2006

Wilmette, IL-- The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) today began an online financial solicitation on behalf of Dan Seals, Democratic candidate in the Illinois 10th Congressional District.

The DCCC's e-mail to potential contributors to Seals and two other Democrats in competitive House races says, " The Rubber Stamp Republican Congress fully supports the Bush agenda and continues to exploit Americans' genuine concern about terrorism for political gain. We must change direction and set a new course for America. And that change must begin with new leadership in Congress."

The e-mail financial solicitation says that Seals and two other Democratic candidates have "fought against the odds to put their heavily Republican districts in play, and the American people are listening. With enough resources in these last critical days -- we can put them over the finish line and win a Democratic majority."

The DCCC says Seals is challenging one of George Bush's biggest rubber stamps:   Mark Kirk. "With the support of the local and national grassroots, now six days   out from the election, Dan is neck-in-neck in the polls. In Congress, he would be one of our most charismatic and compelling voices fighting for economic justice -- one of a new generation of   Democratic leaders."

The DCCC earlier this week began paying for a series of direct-mail pieces to 10th District voters -- another indication of tight race between Kirk, a three-term incumbent, and Seals, who is running for office for the first time.
