Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Raises Profile of the Seals Campaign

WILMETTE, Ill. - The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee has added Dan Seals and the 10th Congressional District to its list of targeted races. Seals is one of
16 Democratic candidates around the country to make the cut of races now seen as competitive.

The DCCC deemed these races "Emerging Races," a new category that refers to districts traditionally seen as noncompetitive. Over the past several months, these candidates have, "through the strength of their campaigns," proved they can win in November,
according to the committee.

"We're pleased that our campaign has burst onto the national radar screen," Seals said. "I can feel the momentum when I travel across the district. The crowds at our events are
growing. Everywhere I go, people express their frustration with the current administration and their strong desire for a change in Congress."

The race in the 10th District is considered competitive already by the Cook Political Report, The Rothenberg Political Report, the Hill and Congressional Quarterly. "The nod from the DCCC is an important affirmation of all the hard work that has gone
into this campaign," Seals said.

"I am gratified to see how many people have come on board the campaign. All our supporters - and we have more than 1,500 volunteers, people who want to hit the pavement to help this campaign succeed - show me how fired up Democrats, independents, and even some Republicans are in this district," Seals continued. "We will win because people recognize that we are at a critical juncture in our nation's history. The House must have new leadership."
