Grab business opportunities, Dayak entrepreneurs told

KUCHING, April 4 — The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Co-operatives (MEDAC) wants village traders particularly Dayak entrepreneurs to seize business enterprise opportunities made available by organizations underneath the ministry.

Its minister, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar said he also required modest-time business people in each district or interior places to endeavour to grow their businesses.

‘’I toss this problem to the young who want to undertaking into several kinds of companies these kinds of as producing, agriculture and other folks.

‘’There are businesses which will deliver direction and fiscal help less than SME Corp.

‘’As these kinds of, I want Dayak entrepreneurs as a result of the Dayak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) to request help and direction on increasing businesses,’’ he reported.

He claimed this to reporters soon after a dialogue session with DCCI at the Malaysian Co-operative Institute here today, which was also attended by DCCI president, Datuk Leonard Martin Uneng.

DCCI was set up in 2003 to develop the financial actions of the Dayak community in Sarawak.

In addition, Wan Junaidi said that he also wished franchisors to be formulated from items with potential in Sarawak to be introduced regionally and also abroad. 

‘’I am self-assured what the ministry wants can be carried out in Sarawak through entrepreneurship co-operatives and franchise platforms to create the neighborhood overall economy, specifically the Dayak community in Sarawak. We have to co-run to make it profitable,’’ he said.

Between the agencies underneath MEDAC have been the Nationwide Institute for Entrepreneurs, SME Company Malaysia, UDA Holdings Berhad, SME Bank, Malaysian Worldwide Innovation & Creative imagination Centre, Bank Rakyat, TEKUN Nasional, Co-operative Institute of Malaysia, Malaysian Co-operative Commission and Professional Coaching and Instruction for Expanding Business owners.
