Five Fold Blessings of God For Man
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply and replenish the earth and subdue it and have dominion over… Gen. 1:28 Every man is given a five fold blessing by God according to the assertion of the above scriptures.
1. FRUITFULNESS
God’s first blessing upon man is that he be fruitful. This has a deeper meaning than just been biologically fruitful. This blessing of fruitfulness is all encompassing, touching every aspect of man’s life, business, education, inter-personal relationship, etc.
You are not only blessed and prayed for that you be fruitful, you are also commanded to be. God commands that you be fruitful in everything you lay your hands to do. Jesus said that the axe is already set to cut down all unproductive trees, meaning that lack of fruitfulness on your part can attract God’s wrath. It is God’s will for you to succeed because He command that you should be fruitful and He even threaten to punish any unfruitful servant. Do you remember the story or parable of the talents? One servant was given five talents, the other one was given two talents and the last one was given only one talent. While the first two servants traded with their talents and made one hundred percent profit, the last servant only kept what he was given. The last servant never traded with his talent, he was not fruitful and this attracted a great punishment from the master.
Friend, you have been given a talent, God has blessed you and commanded you to be fruitful. It is your own responsibility to discover your talent, trade with it and make profit that God will be proud of. Stop wondering if it is God’s will for you to succeed or not. I am telling you through this medium by the Spirit of God that it is the will of God for you to succeed.
2. MULTIPLICATION
The Bible says, ‘Be fruitful and multiply…’ It is the will of God for you to multiply not only your children but also your material possession, intellectual capacity, spiritual power and influence. It is the will of God for you to increase greatly, no matter how small your beginning may be. Can you imagine? The Lord of the heaven and earth started the human race with only one man, Adam: Then the woman was created to help the man. Today, we have about six billion people on the face of the earth. It seem as if there are more people than ten times this number who have come to earth at one time or the other since creation.
The interesting thing is this, it all started with only two people. If you are willing to start small, you will see the dynamic blessing of multiplication in force in your life. Starting small is part of God’s plan and intention but it takes faithfulness, hardwork and consistency to see multiplication of blessing in that venture. The truth about multiplication is easily noticeable in what is planted by every farmer. When a corn of maize is planted and it is well catered for, the harvest will be more than what is planted. God’s purpose of multiplication is thus demonstrated.
God expects that you be faithful and serious in that thing you are doing and before long, you will see the power of multiplication at work in all your ventures. Always remember, God commanded that you multiply. It is compulsory for you to multiply in any endeavour you are involved. God expects that you be fruitful and greatly multiply. As you continue to be faithful to God and His word, I command the power of multiplication to come upon you now in Jesus name.
3. REPLENISH
Gen. 1:28 says in part, ‘Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth…’
To replenish means to fill up again; to put new supplies into something. God intended that man should invent things, that man be creative and innovative. It is God’s will that man fill up the earth with new discoveries, new inventions and new scientific creations. This is what God meant by replenishing the earth, it is man’s ability to take gold (for example) from the depth of the earth, refine it and use it to the glory of God.
When you look around you, it will be very easy for you to notice this as man has made a lot of progress and advancement on earth. Man has created a lot of things that were thought to be impossible in those days. Man has turned this big vast world or earth to a global village. With man’s ingenuity and power to replenish the earth, you can know what is happening around the world. Those living in England can have a first hand news of happenings in America and Australia, fresh news through electronic media. Man has done well in this commandment of replenishing the earth.
Look at yourself, how much of the earth have you been able to replenish since you were born, what invention have you been able to make, what contribution are you putting in to your world. You have something that you can also give to make this world a better place, think about what you love doing that can add meaning to somebody else life. Think of what you can say, do, or invent to make life easier for somebody else and I can assure you that success will become your closest companion.
